In this chapter we get closer to what we’ve been expecting since chapter 33, so in the next two or three chapters we could get the answers to the questions that keep coming up.

It was an enjoyable chapter all around. Utau was awesome in her fight. Also, Amu and Tadase have finally seen Ikuto, which means the rest of the plot can progress further.

In other Shugo Chara! related news Kiseki is on the cover of volume 8 (which is coming out on Friday), which is a surprise concerting everyone thought it would be Yoru. Also, Peach-Pit is releasing an artbook for Shugo Chara. ^_^

But the best news is that Chapter 37 is being released on December 27th, four days earlier then usual (probably because of New Year’s day). Concerting the cliffhanger that Chapter 36 leaves off  at, this is even better news then usual.

 

 

As everyone knows Utau showed up at the end of Chapter 35 in chara-nari with Eru.

Utau uses a new attack,  ”white wing” to help hold back the dog. She tells Amu and Tadase to go ahead and that she’ll  take care of the dog with Yaya.  Eru switches with Iru, and Utau uses Lunatic Charm’s butterflies to attack the dog. 

It’s kind of sad that Kukai and Kairi weren’t able to show up as well, since everyone else is there, but at least Peach Pit brought back Utau from Haweii.

 

 

Yaya is impressed by Utau’s techniques, and decides to help out. She adds eyelashes to her ducks to distract the dog (he falls in love with them ROFL). Utau then chara-naris with Eru again to cleanse the distracted dog.

Also, Kukai is mentioned and it leads to Utau blushing. (Kutau hints anyone? ^_^) This all most makes up for the fact that he didn’t get to come and help with the fight. 

Utau, Yaya and their charas admire their handywork. But then become grim faced when they remember that Tadase and Amu are still trying to save Ikuto.

Yaya and Utau work surprisingly well as a team. It’s nice to think that Utau may be able to make other girl friends besides Amu.

Meanwhile, Ikuto is still playing the violin, as Amu and Tadase are edging closer to him.

Also, Gozen is watching all the different groups on TVs in front of their chair.

Hopefully we might actually get to see who the mastermind is in the next chapter or so. Satelight is going to have a hard time if it turns out to be a women or a child.

Then, Shoudai K is seen giving the mysterious little kid, that appeared in chapter 28, 30 and 32, a stone (which reminds me of corn from Skip Beat!).

Hmm. What’s the little kid’s purpose? Is it related to Embryo? And how does Shoudai K fit into all of this? Maybe it will be revealed in the coming chapters.

Amu and Tadase reach the top of the buliding and face the brainwashed and cold faced Ikuto.

Meanwhile, Evil Stepdad orders Ikutoto attack Tadase and Amu. His violin then transforms into the death sycle.

So the violin was were the sycle had come from. That explains alot. I wonder if Peach-Pit will ever show the chara Ikuto uses to chara-nariinto Death Rebel with.

When Ikuto attacks them Amustarts to fight against him with the heart rod. However he manages to over power her and is about to drop the sickle, when Tadase intervenes to stop him.

Seeing Amu and Ikuto fight against each other seriously, and seeing that Ikuto could careless, makes Amuto fangirl side of me. It also makes me hate Evil Stepdad even more (but more on that later). Of all the people in the world, the one Ikuto least wants to hurt is Amu (which is why he made her angry before leaving in chapter 30 so she wouldn’t be sad that he was leaving), so the fact that he’s being forced to attack her is horrible.

It turns out that Tadase now has a sword. He and Ikuto began to fight.

Tadaselooks cool with his sword. It’s way better then the septar ever was. Also more practical for fighting a sicklewith.

Amu watches Ikuto and Tadase worried and concerned, that two of the people she cares the most about (who used to be friends are fighting each other).

It’s kind of annoying to watch Amu sit idly by without trying to figure out away to help out. But you have to remember that a lot’s happened to Amuin the last week or so, and it might be hard for her to absorb it all. Also, she a twelve year old, even if she is a magical girl twelve year old, and she’s deals witha lot of things that people older then twelve have a hard time dealing with.

Evil Stepdad laughs about something. Probably related to the fact that Ikutohas to fight with two of the most important people in the world to him.

Every chapter, I hate this guy more and more. It’s not enough for him that he’s completely ruined Ikuto’s life, and trapped him in a horrible company, where he’s forced to do their bidding, he also brainwashes him, makes him use his precious violin to destroy people’s dreams and forces him to attack Amu and Tadase. Plus he also makes snide remarks about Ikuto and laughs at him. He totally sucks.

Yoru notices the dumpty key attached to Ikuto’s violin case and brings it over to Amu…

As Amu thinks about the humpty key and dumpty key, an image of Ikuto crying when he was a child (so sad ;_;). Which means that Ikuto’s past might be seen in the next chapter.

Amu looks forward resolved, and starts to combine the lock and the key…

This chapter was epic. It feels like all the questions that have been brought up before in Shugo Chara are finally going to be answered. Utau’s new attack is awesome, Tadase was pretty cool, and there is a hope that Ikuto is finally going to be saved. It was also good to see Amu take the initiative at the end of the chapter. I don’t blame her for being a bit helpless concerting the impact of all the news she’s gotten, but she’s at her best when she’s a kickass heroine. The best news is that Chapter 37 looks like it’s going to be even better then this chapter.

Can’t wait until the 27th. It’s going to be an awesome late Christmas present.
