I think this episode caused major fangirling. It did in me anyways and in certain other people too. This is pretty much a completely Amuto episode. Even in the scenes they aren’t together in, Amu’s thinking about Ikuto which counts as Amuto. They did a good job adapting the manga for this episode. The lines from the manga seemed to come to life when Kanae Ito and Yuuichi Nakamura said them.
Another good piece of news for SC fans is that a character song cd is coming out on March 25th. It was annouched on the SC live journel yesterday. It’s suppose to have Utau’s Heartfelt song on it. I think it also has the songs that have been in the anime lately that haven’t been released as well.
New Opening
………..WTF!
The new opening reminds me of the Itazura Na Kiss opening, only a really, really bad verison of it. Shugo Chara Egg had they’re chance, but now I think we can say they suck safely. It’s more Satelight fault then anything though. Amu, Rima, Utau and Ikuto wouldn’t do those things in the real show. The worst is Ikuto though, since girls can safely put their hands on their hips. Showing Amu’s many different outfits was a cute idea though. Also the mini shipping moment and the first acknowledgement of the love triangle in an opening is nice, but it doesn’t live up to the awesomeness of that moment in Minna Daisuki. I think skipping the OP for the next while is the only option for the next few weeks.
Thoughts
Flustered Amu is cute. Anyone would react that way, if they found a teenage boy in their bed. Especially a hot teenager boy.
Watching Ikuto in pain is not a pretty sight. This is bad and what’s coming is even worse. I wonder if the anime will be really graphic when it comes to those scenes. It’s a kid show so I can imangine some problems.
So they actaully showed Ikuto and Yoru chara-naring to get to Amu’s house. I guess Satelight fiogured kids were too stupid to understand how he got there without being shown it.
Yoru being proud of his idea of bring Ikuto to Amu’s house was cute. It’s adorable how much he loves Ikuto (this is why Tsukiyomi charas are the best).
..Unfortunatly Yoru gets punished for his cocky attiude two seconds later. Poor Yoru, he’s the Sunohara of this series. He gets scolded by Ikuto, flicked across the room by Utau…and half killed by Amu.
Oh Amu’s dad. You will be eternally loved by Amuto, because….

Amu being worried over Ikuto is so cute. She’s done it before, but usually only for a second (since he usually says something so she’ll think he’s a jerk and not worry about it).
I can’t believe Yoru managed to stay still throughout that. It would’ve been cool if Ami had really found Ikuto though. She’s called Kairi and Tadase Amu’s boyfriends. I want to hear her call Ikuto, Amu’s boyfriend.

Amu has a hard time saying no to people (very libra). I think anyone would have a hard time saying no to Ami though.

Speaking from personal experience, falling into a mound of snow isn’t like that at all.
Heh. Even when she’s having fun with the others, she’s thinking about Ikuto. The Amuto fangirl side of me is happy.

I liked how Tadase noticed that Nagihiko was looking despondent (he’s learning! ^__^) That’s probably just my love of male friendships though.
Nagihiko’s pretty preceptive about the different types of chara carriers they’re. Not many people in the series talk about it a lot.
Tsukasa. ^_^ Since the Kitty scene has happened, I don’t have to feel pissed over whenever he shows up anymore. I’m glad he was thinking about Ikuto (that’s my love of catboys and their foster fathers talking). It would suck if he did end up as Gozen, Ikuto’s has it hard enough.

She stops being a Tsundere pretty quickly when she sees that he’s still there though.
Of course Ikuto has to ruin the tender moment, by saying something to make Amu mad. Sigh. I guess it’s because he believes he has to keep her at a distance.
Ikuto, like everyone else, knows Amu’s tsundereness is just an act though and lets her know it.
Heh. Ikuto eats Taiyaki like a cat, and Amu can laugh at him for a change.
He’s right. She really has to start locking her windows up. Still, isn’t he pretty much the only one who uses them?
I think Fuyumaiden pretty much said what we were all thinking about this on her screencap on her post for this episode.
Tricky Ikuto got Amu to admit she’s a closet pervert like always. I would’ve thought she’s avoid letting him whisper into her ear, after the first instant.
Heh. Both of them are unable to admit how they really feel. Stubborness. ^__^
Aside from that, this is the first time Amu tried to stop Ikuto from leaving. That shows more then anything, how worried she actually is.
They were also playing one of my favorite Amuto BGMs during the scene.
Yoru and Amu’s charas seem like they’re going to provide more commentry on Amuto. Well the girls anyways. Yoru doesn’t seem to care one way or the other.
Preview
Fillers of Ikuto being in Amu’s room, something most Amuto fans can live with.
…this however, doesn’t look good. I’m not a big fan of cat girls-well some types of cat girls- and I really dislike this type. I’m not looking forward to that part of the next episode.

Satelight did a good job adapting the manga for this episode. It will be interesting to see if the manage to do a good job with the rest of the Ikuto arc. I’m looking forward to seeing chapter 31 animated because it’s the type of scene that works better in anime rather then manga. I’m also looking forward to the rest of chapter 28, 29 and 30.

Huh? Tsukasa isn’t Ikuto’s foster father. Unfortunately, asshole director is but I thought Tsukasa was more of a guardian towards him than anything else.
But yea, it would suck if Tsukasa is Gozen. Let’s hope not. Or I’ll kill him. >:/
