OMG!
That’s all I can say about this chapter. It was made of so much win that made my head explode. I was practically bounching off the walls yesterday and developed a valley girl accent for a few hours.
It looks like the predictions of several people came true about what was going to happen in the next arc.
Poor Lulu. She finally get an episode to develop her character and it gets side railed by the enuthasium of Chapter 38 (which was wincakes). Oh well. This was a pretty decent episode since it gave more insight into her character. The only problem I have is that it feels like Satelight is thinking things through and is just making things up about her character as they go along.
Love Angels will fight even during summer vaction
This week’s episode focused on Italy, Germany and Japan being stranded on an island together. It’s probably the closest you’ll ever get too a summer vaction episode for Hetalia.
It finally happened. Someone mixed Shugo Chara and Hetalia together. I’m glad they use the girls for Suu, Miki, and Ran, but I kinda of wish that America had been Ran, and Chibitalia had been Suu. Also that UK!Angel had been Eru instead of x-egg Dia. Oh well. The casting was good otherwise. I hope someone makes a MAD for Minna Dasuki or one of the OP since I want to see what they would do with the main cast.
I actually really enjoyed this episode. It reminded me of one of the major reasons I love Shugo Chara: Character development. It was a complete and satasifying episode with no !-eggs or x-eggs.
Although Satelight seemed to promote this episode as a Tadamu filler, it ended up being a Kairi-centered episode with a bit of Kamuri on the side. I think this was the first Kairi-centered filler the series had too, if I remember correctly.
The music video arc of Skip Beat, marks many small change as well as increases the drama load as we move towards the end of the series. It also brings up questions of feminism, the futialy of revenge and what really constitutes a relationship.
Sakura Hime Kaden is currently the best anti-valentine out there. I would totally recommend it to anyone in a “love sucks mood”. It’s also good at showing female friendship, and feminism.
