Editorial Note: I’m very well aware that boys do not drool, and am rather fond of both fictional and real boys.
Ah Shugo Chara girls. My heart overflows with love for you. Especially after the last two weeks, when all the manga main females got a moment of pure awesomeness, as well as Yua, the filler girl voiced by the one and only Rie Kugimiya.
GAR girls with guns, or werid bomrangs, and what happens when you use way too much CGI in anime.
Two more Spring first impressions, this time for Pandora Hearts and Phantom~Requiem~Phantom. This is the last of Thursdays shows for now.
And so the anime verison of Skip Beat ends. I’m pretty sure most anime only fans are disappointed by the ending, and probably some of the manga fans, are upset by the ending. But I’m alright with it. I was expecting a cliffhanger anyways, even if it had been a 51 episode show, since it doesn’t look like Nakamura-sensei was going to finish anytime soon.
Must resist the urge to make Macross Frontier jokes based on the album art.
Oops. It looks like I already did.
Seriously though the album art for the SC character song album is fantastic as are the songs on the album themselves despite the fact that I already own most of the songs in single format.
This episode is enough to make anyone love Utau. However I’m sure it will be lost on most of the people who continue to dislike her for immature reasons. Also I think this is the first episode in doki where she was really the main focus, (in the other two episodes where she was feature prominently, there was other things going to distract fangirls).
Since I don’t have a lot else to talk about right now, I’ve decided to write a fangirl post on one of my favorite manga and anime characters This will be an irregular feature for my blog, when I have nothing else to do or blog about.
The first character to be featured is Kyoko Mogami, the plucky heroine of Skip Beat. Kyoko’shad a hard life, but she never lets it get her down as she both searches for revenge against Shotaro Fuwa, and explores the natural acting talent within her.
